Dear Readers,

As the cool weather blows in and the leaves change, so do our daily lives. No longer the buzz of summer, but a more relaxed adventure begins. Fall brings about coziness and togetherness, but in Korea, it also means the best weather for exploring the phenomenal national parks all over the peninsula. It could be the sweater weather, the cup of hot cider, or the anticipation of the coming holidays, whatever the case, the season has something for everyone to love.

This season, travel and experience fall in all the provinces of Korea. Embrace today, knowing that the opportunities you have in Korea may not last because we all must leave sometime. Don’t forget that fall is for building the friendships and relationships that will get you through the winter months filled with gatherings and social events. So, grab a friend or family member and go to that cafe. Take the hike, even the hard ones! Go to a temple and admire the beauty of nature and art. Let your curiosity run wild as you get lost on some back mountain roads. Make the memories that will last a lifetime and do it together with your friends and family!

For those around South Korea celebrating Chuseok with their families, the United on the RoK team wishes you a happy Chuseok that brings happiness and prosperity to your family. May the time together enrich your heart and soul.

Go on a journey this month with our authors and photographers Go through the pages and make your way to fall destinations that inspire you as soon as you can, the colors of fall won’t be around long! Share your moments with us, we’d love to hear from our readers and how they experience the military lifestyle here in the RoK.
